PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Increase Membership by 100% in the next 12 months.
- Establish 4 workshops to provide professional and personal development
- Hold quarterly networking lunch events
- Hold 2 professional networking events
- Establish partnerships & affiliations with other community and professional organizations
- Promote and nominate members to public boards
- Establish human resources committee to assist in job placement.
- Identify and Recruit Executive members
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
- Promote Parent Education Awareness
- Create Community Resource Guide
- Publish and circulate SHPE-LA Newsletter - 1 per quarter
- Create Mentoring Opportunities Middle School/High School
CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT
- Develop a policy & procedures manual.
- Establish monthly status on annual plan.
- Oversight committee to assess & ensure proper execution of SHPE LA's bylaws, policies, and procedures.
- Develop a fundraising plan to raise $150k.
- Have an external affairs liaison to elected officials, public agencies & community organizations.
- Develop a membership recruitment plan.
EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Designate Student Representative (by August 14th).
- Create Master Calendar of student activities.
- Raise $100k in Scholarships.
- Participate in events for Pre-College/SHPE Jr. Chapter.
- Conduct Discipline Seminar (1 per semester).
- Create and update Industry Contact Database
- Organize Company Tours
- Select best student chapter under the umbrella of SHPE-LA
- Select best student member under the umbrella of SHPE-LA
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Establish Business development committee with active members.
- Provide 2 workshops for Business Development.
- Disseminate information on upcoming contracts & opportunities (newsletter, email).
