Scholarship
Objective: The Scholarship Program will help in realizing the SHPE Mission by providing financial support to Latino students pursuing careers in Science and Engineering. Students eligible for the SHPE-LA scholarship must reside in the Greater Los Angeles Area or attend one of the SHPE Student Chapters under the jurisdiction of SHPE-LA.

Community Development
Objective: To promote education and engineering to the Latino Community. Goals include development of workshops for Middle and High School students, develop partnership with parents, LAUSD and SHPE Student Chapters, and finally, develop SHPE college student/professional mentor.

Ambassadors
Objective: To bridge the gap between Professional and Student SHPE Chapters in Los Angeles jurisdiction through strategic interaction between both, resulting in a strong and lasting support system for members to be successful in designated fields. Ambassadors will aid in tracking the success of SHPE members on the professional and student levels, promote technical and personal training/workshops, and create the necessary lines of communication, with the mission to foster success in all academic disciplines.
