Welcome to our web site. As you can see, we have redesigned the site and hopefully you will find it of great taste. A quick note on the design; in the background you will see a map of the world with the Latin America countries and Spain in the forefront. As Los Angeles is home to the largest Latino community in the world, SHPE-LA properly displays itself with the countries that make up the backgrounds of our members and customers.
SHPE-LA is here to serve this great Latino Community. Please navigate through this site to learn of the SHPE-LA 2004-2005 Strategic Plan. As we align ourselves to the SHPE Mission, we have planned for events and programs that will service you, the SHPE-LA costumer. From personal and professional development workshops for our professional members to scholarships and mentoring to our student members to outreach to the greater Latino community, our plan has something for everyone.
We are looking forward to your full participation. We will be updating on our progress and success through our quarterly on line Newsletter. I ask you to take a look at our Calendar of Events to plan out your participation at our general membership meetings and all the other great activities.
I feel very privileged to be working with a great Board of Directors and committed Committees that will make our plan a success. We also need you to make it a reality. As always, we strive for improvement and ultimately for excellence. With this said, I look forward to your comments on this web page and your feedback on how we are doing in servicing your needs as a SHPE-LA customer.
