OBJECTIVE
The SHPE Central Florida Professional Chapter was established in 1992 by a group of Hispanic engineers and scientists who recognized that a SHPE chapter in this area was needed by the Hispanic community working for the many federal agencies and industries in the Central Florida area.
Our overall objectives and goals are to:
| Increase the number of Hispanics entering the fields of engineering, mathematics, physical and computer science, and other technical fields |
| Develop programs that promote the advancement of Hispanic engineers and scientists in employment and education |
| Develop programs benefiting Hispanics seeking careers in engineering or technical fields |
| Provide a forum for and to encourage the exchange of technical information, professional development, and entrepreneurial opportunities |
| Inform the general public of technical contributions and achievements of Hispanics by newsletters and awards programs |
